Run as Administrator (most common fix)
Right-click KMSPico.exe → Run as administrator. If you ran it without elevation, this is the fix for 90% of cases.

Add Defender Exclusion BEFORE extracting
Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings → Exclusions → Add folder. Select the KMSPico folder. If Defender already quarantined it, restore it from the quarantine history first.

Restart the Software Protection Service
Open elevated CMD: net stop sppsvc → wait 5 seconds → net start sppsvc → then run KMSPico again.

Try manual slmgr activation
Open elevated CMD and run: slmgr /ipk W269N-WFGWX-YVC9B-4J6C9-T83GX → slmgr /skms kms.windowskms.com → slmgr /ato

Download fresh copy
Corrupt downloads cause silent failures. Re-download from WindowsKMS and extract fresh using password 123456.
When KMSPico appears to "not work", the cause is almost always one of a few simple, fixable things — not a fault with the tool itself. Work through these in order and it will usually run on the next try.
The usual fixes
Windows Defender removed it. Security software often quarantines activators before they run. Add a Windows Security exclusion for the extracted folder before launching. This resolves the majority of cases.
You didn't run it as administrator. Right-click the executable and choose Run as administrator — activation needs those rights to write to the licensing store.
The archive wasn't fully extracted. Extract it with WinRAR (password 123456) to a real folder, not run from inside the RAR.
.NET Framework missing. Rare on Windows 10/11, but the tool needs .NET 4.x.
The most common causes are: not running as administrator, Windows Defender quarantined the file, or the Software Protection Service (sppsvc) needs restarting. See the fixes above.
