Windows Loader (DAZ Loader v2.2.2): What It Is & How It Works
Windows Loader (also called DAZ Loader or Windows 7 Loader) is an activation tool created by the developer DAZ. Version 2.2.2 is the final release. It permanently activates Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2008 by emulating an OEM BIOS SLIC (Software Licensing) table, making Windows believe it was factory-activated by a computer manufacturer like Dell or HP.
Windows Loader is one of the most well-known activators in the Windows ecosystem, alongside KMSPico. While KMSPico uses KMS volume activation, Windows Loader takes a fundamentally different approach based on the OEM System-Locked Pre-installation (SLP) mechanism. 1. How Windows Loader Works
Windows Loader activates Windows by exploiting the OEM System-Locked Pre-installation (SLP) mechanism that Microsoft built for computer manufacturers. Here is the technical process:
- SLIC Table Injection: Windows Loader injects a Software Licensing Internal Code (SLIC) table into memory. This table contains an OEM certificate that matches a specific manufacturer (Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.).
- OEM Certificate Installation: The tool installs the matching OEM certificate file, which contains a digital signature that Windows verifies against the SLIC table.
- OEM Product Key: The tool installs a generic OEM SLP product key for the Windows edition being activated.
- Activation Verification: When Windows boots, it checks the SLIC table in memory against the installed certificate and product key. If all three match, Windows considers itself factory-activated and enters the "activated" state without contacting Microsoft servers.
This process produces a permanent activation that does not require internet access and never expires. Unlike KMS activation, which renews every 180 days, OEM SLP activation lasts as long as the SLIC emulation remains in place.
2. Supported Windows Versions
Windows Loader supports operating systems that use the SLP 2.0 and 2.1 activation mechanism:

Microsoft removed the OEM SLP activation path starting with Windows 8. Modern Windows versions use KMS volume activation or digital license activation, which Windows Loader cannot emulate.

Since Windows Loader does not support Windows 10 or 11, you need a KMS-based tool. KMS activation works by emulating a local Key Management Service host that Windows contacts to activate, producing a 180-day activation that automatically renews in the background.

5. Antivirus Detection and Safety
