How to Activate Office LTSC 2024
Office LTSC 2024 is the newest Long-Term Servicing Channel release - the perpetual, volume-licensed version of Office aimed at organisations and anyone who wants a one-time install without a subscription. Because it's a volume product, it activates through KMS, just like Office 2019 and 2021.
LTSC 2024 vs Microsoft 365
This distinction matters before you try to activate. Office LTSC 2024 is a volume build that activates with a Generic Volume Licence Key against a KMS host. Microsoft 365 is a subscription that signs in with a Microsoft account and can't be KMS-activated. If your Office signs you in rather than asking for activation, it's the subscription version.
Activating LTSC 2024 with KMS
The simplest route is KMSPico, which installs the correct key and activates the whole suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) in one run:
- Close all Office applications.
- Run the tool as administrator.
- It activates Office automatically - confirm via any app → File → Account → "Product Activated".
The manual method (ospp.vbs)

How long does it stay activated?
Like all KMS activations, LTSC 2024 is valid for 180 days and renews automatically in the background, so it simply stays active. You won't see the "Product Notice" banner or the read-only editing limits that appear on unlicensed Office.
